Off the beaten track heaven!
9.0Located just up the hill from the centre of Montelepre, this hotel was a great choice for me. I had intended on staying at Palermo, but the city was packed because of the festival of St Rossalie. I actually really enjoy staying a little off the beaten track in Italy, and find less touristy places much more friendly as a rule. That was certainly the case in Montelepre, where everyone I met was helpful and welcoming, even though I don't speak a word of Italian. The room at the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were brilliant. The private parking was practical. My balcony had a fabulous view, and I can't recommend the restaurant enough if you're stopping for dinner. Breakfast was perhaps a little spartan, but this was hardly a big deal. I really enjoyed the stay!
