Locatie dichtbij Seoraksan NP, super lieve eigenaren, geen luxe hotel maar wel alles goed en met zorg en aandacht geregeld. Bushalte praktische voor de deur.

− In de directe omgeving zijn weinig eet-opties. Een goed Korean BBQ restaurant en twee kleine winkeltjes. In het hotel kun je ook eten. Wil je veel keuze, dan moet je met een taxi of bus naar een andere plek.

Lovely little (big building), hostel

I loved the owners, they were very nice and super helpful. The place is well tucked into the foothills with easy access to the bus that goes to town/up to the maon park entrance. It was just a shame the majority of the trails were closed when I went.

− Nothing. It's great for the price. And would be a good base of operations normally.

Le couple qui tient l’hôtel est absolument adorable et il est très bien situé. Chambre agréable, bien que les couettes soient vraiment trop petites pour 2. Machine à laver à disposition.

− L’hôtel est vraiment vieillot et nécessiterait des travaux de rénovation. La nourriture proposée était très bonne, mais trop chère pour nous.

Excellent location for hikers, welcoming hosts

The Red House is in an excellent location as a base for hiking the varied trails in Seoraksan National Park. It is 20 - 25 minutes on foot to the main entrance of the park and there is a bus stop 2 minutes from the accommodation to travel to Sokcho. There are a few convenience stores and restaurants nearby and it is also possible to request breakfast & dinner in the accommodation. If you have time on a shorter hiking day, it's worth having the Korean style breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to visit the mountains. The hosts were kind and welcoming throughout my stay and I hope to visit again and hike in the autumn season.
