Classic hotel in Downtown Los Angeles
10.0The Biltmore Los Angeles is a memorable experience. The rooms are well appointed, staff friendly, and food is beautifully prepared. The hotel would benefit from keeping there inline information updated
Great Stay!
10.0Jose M. Chica made our stay so special! He showed us around and made sure we felt like special guests. Looking forward to going back next year with my sister.
great culture but a bit outdated - not 5-star rooms.
6.0Nice and historical hotel with a great story. The entrance and lobby are exceptional and walking just through makes you feel like a movie star. However when moving towards your room . For me this hotel isn't offering not a 5-star experience. Out of the 10 rooms we booked as company 4 people had to request an other room due to broken airco's, or very high noise. New rooms where offered immediately, however the original ones should not have been offered to any quest. Not a bottle of water offered in the room, fridge is empty and making a lot of noise, coffee maker in room is using filtering coffee in a plastic cup with a wooden stick, bathroom outdated and an installed shampoo dispenser. On the more positive side the cleaning is good, the hospitality service is good as well. Great pictures are made inside. So overall: so much potential, just update it a bit. :) or adjust to a 4-start hotel to manage expectation better.
Worst experience in Los Angeles ever!!!
2.0Update (8 hours after check-out): After leaving the hotel, we realized we had forgotten a refrigerated prescription medication (for multiple sclerosis) in the minibar. When we contacted the hotel, we were told nothing had been reported and nothing could be done. This was a critical medication, and the lack of care or effort to safeguard it was extremely disappointing. In other hotels, when this has happened to us, we have always been able to recover the medication — this is the first time we have not. Update (Check-out day): To make matters worse, at check-out I was charged an additional $3 per person, per day as a “mandatory tip” for breakfast — which was already included in our room rate. For two people over six nights, this resulted in a $36 charge plus taxes, despite the fact that I had been leaving cash tips daily. At no point during our stay — neither at the front desk nor in the restaurant — were we informed about this charge. The issue is not the fee itself, but the complete lack of transparency. This should be clearly communicated at check-in or in the restaurant, not as a surprise at check-out. Although our $500 deposit was eventually released, the additional charge was still applied. This feels completely unjustified and unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Original review: It is an expensive hotel with an excellent location in Downtown Los Angeles and a good breakfast. However, the experience was far below expectations. During our stay in room 352 (six nights), housekeeping failed to service our room on our last day, even though we left at 11:00 a.m. and placed the “Service Please” sign. We returned exhausted to find no clean linens, no towels, and trash still in the room. Housekeeping also lacked attention to basic details throughout the stay — one day there was no toilet paper, and on the last day we were left without shampoo. When we called for towels and mentioned the room had not been serviced, the response was not very friendly. Overall, these issues completely overshadow the positive aspects of the hotel, including the staff’s general attention, the breakfast, and even its unbeatable location. It is not acceptable to pay this much and not receive proper service. This is the first and last time we choose this hotel in Los Angeles. I would recommend looking for other accommodation options.
Great experience during Check in
10.0Check in was great, easy to locate, parking was easy. And Albert at the front was awesome. Place is real close to Grand Central Market. Would recommend to stay. We came here during the first weekend for the full marathon.
Wifi does not work.
8.0Nice hotel. Great corner room. Comfortable bed. However WiFi download speed is less than 1Mbps as verified with multiple speed tests. Unfortunate because I had some business to take care of.
