The verandah (apartment 3 on the ground floor) caught morning sun so it was a great place to sit and look at the river and parklands opposite. Could hear person in floor above snoring all night and footsteps are not muted by any soundproofing but it is a heritage building and allowances have to be made. Easy parking. Clean. Comfortable beds.

We stayed in Unit 2 which is listed as a 3 bedroom apartment however one of the bedrooms is a thoroughfare to the toilet/bathroom so not a private bedroom. Greeting text from owner gives a mobilie number to use for any questions or concerns but when I texted to that number I got no reply at all. The position and decor are great, but the lack of genuine care for the guest lets the Portside Apartments down.

When a one night extension was requested ,the owners decided to charge extra without any explanation and deducted the funds from my credit card. BOTH email and text to the owners for a "please explain" and REFUND EXCESS CHARGES have been ignored . LOST ME GREEDY !

It’s History and location were excellent. The bedding and furnishings were comfortable and there were many period fittings and fixtures

Charming old heritage building, in a very nice quiet part of town.

What a horrible experience I don’t know where to begin I guess with the unbearable heat and the options available to deal with this are 2 rickety old ceiling fans that seem to only have one mode which is slow so they do nothing and barely move the air around the room. The cheap portable fan that is bent and wants to fall over and again works very poorly. Option B is to open all the windows which would be great if they had latches and you could open them more than 10cm. There are no fly screens on the windows except in 1 bedroom so as you let in the air you also get a tsunami of bugs Q
