Location was great - right in the action of Hollywood Boulevard

− There's a nightclub in the foyer of the hotel and I had a couple of noisy neighbours who were up late playing music / shouting on the Friday night.

Convenient location right on Hollywood Blvd. Metro station is close by. The strip is pretty crowded and rowdy at night.

− The first night we arrived they were filming something on site so there was basically only 1 elevator available for use making for loooong waits to get anywhere. It was incredibly frustrating. The hotel itself is beautiful but very dark inside - could be an issue for those with vision limitations. One more issue - we had 4 people in our room but were consistently left with less than 4 bath towels. Sometimes 0, sometimes 2, sometimes 3. But never 4….

I don't recommend it for the money you have to pay.

− Let me start by saying I canceled my reservation for a pool side cabana room shortly after trying to check in, store bag and enjoy a relaxing sunday afternoon by the pool. The hotel's check-in is not till 3 pm and we got to the hotel around noon. I was hoping to store bags and lounge by the pool until checkin and enjoy relaxing afternoon by the pool. The Hotel was completely understaffed, The car valet was beyond rude and it took almost 15 mins just to get our car parked. Once getting into the lobby and speaking to the front desk / doing a preliminary check-in we moved our way to going to look at the pool for a lounge chair. We walked to the pool where the Hostess told us it was "standing room only" The Hotel was utilizing the only pool for a world cup viewing party with a huge screen and blaring speakers at the one of the pool. Come to find out why this looked more like a night club then a chill weekend pool getaway was come to find out The Hotel was allowing outside pedestrians to pay for access to the pool and bar while not taking into any consideration the guests who have paid nightly rates and whom have traveled from near and far to stay at the hotel for the weekend. No seating or pool space was reserved for hotel guests and there was zero accommodations to those actually staying at the hotel. I was beyond disgusted with the service, lack of accommodation and attention to paying guests. We were told we could get on a wait list but there was no guarantee for any seating or pool lounges.We could "hover" and see if anything comes available. The pool deck was an absolute mess and it was honestly my worst nightmare. I immediately went to the front desk and cxled my stay at the hotel. It took about 30-45 mins after give the valet my car tag to find out they never went to get our car... I will never book this hotel again after the despicable service and lack of apology for how poor the over all experience.

Super cool, old school Hollywood hotel. Loved it.

Fabulous central location in Hollywood. Beautiful decor. Pool is gorgeous. Hotel is immaculate.
