1 Star Experience at 4 Star Prices
2.0We had to book a room here on July 4 2026 due to power outages in the area. I called before I booked to make sure that the hotel had power and a/c in the rooms and was told yes to both. They lied. When we got to the room the a/c was barely coming out of the vents and was doing nothing to cool the room down. The bathtub didn't drain and was ridiculously slippery, essentially a lawsuit waiting to happen, and the sliding bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way. The desk clerk did send the engineer to our room to adjust the HVAC, but it barely improved for only 2 hours. On the 4th trip to the desk I was given a column fan which marginally helped. The staff blamed the a/c problems on the outage, but when I checked previous reviews there were the same complaints about the a/c going back 5 years, so they lied again. The food was overpriced, my friend got sick from the avocado blt he had, the bacon looked like it had gone through an incinerator. I used to stay here a lot between 10-20 years ago whenever we would lose power due to storms or when the house I was renting was getting work done, basically before Marriott bought it in 2016, and back then it was wonderful. A true excellent Westin experience. And that's why I didn't check reviews before I booked this time, I didn't know they had changed ownership, if I had checked I never would have booked here. The staff was very nice, but that was the only decent thing in this entire experience. I will never stay here again, at least not until Marriott decides to replace/upgrade the HVAC system. It's a shame because it used to be a beautiful, wonderful hotel.

Mixed stay
6.0Stayed here during a soccer tournament, great location but the air conditioning does not work well due to this being a historic hotel it’s never been upgraded. Rooms are humid and never get super cold. The gym has outdated machines that are squeaky. The pool was closed our entire time due to bacteria or something they could not confirm exactly. One morning I had to wait a long time for the server to return to the coffee station, not ideal when on a schedule. The restaurant Blue Morel is the best part of this hotel 5 stars for the food and ambience! Service at the front desk was nice and pleasant. Not the best Westin experience but thr staff was friendly and helpful.
Never again
