Traditional and peaceful accommodation overlooking Loch Alvie
8.0Traditional and charming accommodation with a long history and pleasant host. Set in a rural and peaceful location overlooking Loch Alvie. The best scrambled eggs we had on our trip to Scotland. Short distance to Aviemore.

Good but a bit overpriced for what you get
7.0The location is amazing, next to the lake. Clean and helpful staff.
− Our room was too hot and you couldn’t even open the windows properly. The facilities are quite old and when the train passes you could feel the bed shacking. We also heard the person next door snoring. I think a bit overpriced overall.

7.0Cute country hotel, cosy rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast included. Staff were friendly and even provided standing fans when requested and fixed the tv when there were issues.
− Our rooms had slanted ceilings and we hit our heads multiple times so beware. For breakfast: Scrambled eggs were very runny so could be improved and more vegetables / fresh fruits as part of the offering would be good, although the kitchen gave a larger portion of mushrooms when requested.

− Close to railway line but this didn't bother us as the line is not really busy and, trains don't run through the night.
