Simply beautiful
8.0The view from the house is simply amazing 😍. The host was friendly and helpful, we loved the homemade fig jam, tomatoes from the garden, cheese and other simple welcome items left for us. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and more. We made good use of the BBQ. And for the brave, the outdoor shower worked better than the indoor one. The house obviously had history and I would have loved to know more about it and its former residents. But mostly we spent many hours sitting out the front enjoying the views of Sao Jorge, Pico and the Ocean. The natural pool just down the hill was lovely, easy to access and full of pretty fish.
− Small things, but the beds (which I am guessing are traditional and old) were very small, more of a slightly wider single. It meant that me and my husband could not share a bed and we found them uncomfortable (as tall adults). It was hot and humid on our visit which also made sleeping difficult, some kind of air-conditioning or bedroom fans would definitely make sleeping a bit easier.

9.0The location was excellent, you can see amazing sunsets from the terrace in front, where you can also have dinner and breakfast. The house is big and has an interesting layout that includes outdoor facilities. The owner is very welcoming and available in case of problems. The house is equipped with everything you need (kitchen ware, cutlery, oil and salt, towels, beach towels, bathroom toiletries).
− The house has some old equipment and kitchen ware that should be replaced in time to guarantee functionality. But nothing major that has impacted our stay.
