− I was charged for taking something from the minibar when I didn't. I was paying over £600 a night why wouldn't I pay £3 for a bag of chips if I had taken it! Disappointed

− The hotel is very well located, and the staff are consistently kind and welcoming. I have stayed here several times, but unfortunately, I felt that the hotel has declined somewhat since my last visit. It would benefit from some renovation and attention to detail in order to regain its former splendour. In particular, the bed linen, pillows, blankets, bathrobes, and hairdryers feel dated and should be renewed or replaced. Greater attention should also be paid to the thoroughness of the housekeeping and the overall cleanliness of the rooms. I have always been fond of this hotel and sincerely hope it receives the care and updating it needs to restore the charm and quality I remember from previous stays.
