All Staff and food were great! Outdoor area at the bar on the deck and pool were incredible. The views were incredible.

− The outside of the hotel is very dated. Could use a fresh coat of a different color paint or siding. The yellow looks terrible. It doesn't do the inside, which is beautiful, any justice. Pineapple bar area is run down and could be updated. We stayed away from there. The cushions on the chairs on the deck near the upper outdoor restaurant/bar area need to be replaced. Many rips, seagull stains and fading. We had a captains room and all of the cushions on our deck were stained and faded. For the price I paid, there should be updated cushions or at least make an effort to have them cleaned. There was also no large mirror in the upstairs suite for the bathroom. Had to go up and down stairs to get ready.

The king room was much smaller than expected, and the bed wasn't actually king-sized. It was also missing some of the listed amenities, such as slippers, and felt very cramped. Our air conditioning didn't work when we arrived. We reported it to reception, and someone came to fix it, but it stopped working again shortly afterward. Even when it did work, the AC unit was extremely large and very noisy, making it difficult to sleep.

− The swimming pool is very small and always overcrowded with kids, making it almost impossible to swim. The staff is friendly but unprofessional and understaffed for a hotel of this size. As a result, the common areas aren't kept clean, and the restaurant tables are often dirty.

Property is pretty and quiet

− We were given a moldy, recently flooded room with a bad smell in the bathroom. I had to complain to be moved. The management had some clothing I left behind I the move and it took over 2 hours to track it down. All I got was a sorry. I expected more from a resort. Staff are nice but management is lacking

Location and general set up of the property is nice. A few team members truly stood out: Allison in the restaurant, who provided exceptional service, and the friendly, customer-focused valet staff.

− The resort felt significantly overpriced, especially considering its size, amenities, and overall experience. During our stay, the pool area was dominated by unsupervised children who were constantly jumping, splashing, and being very loud. Many parents did not seem to supervise their children, and there was no visible staff member or lifeguard present to help maintain a relaxing atmosphere. The lobby was also overcrowded due to multiple wedding events, and tables were often left uncleared after guests departed, giving the common areas an untidy appearance. Given the premium holiday weekend rates, I expected a much higher level of service. Unfortunately, the staff generally seemed disengaged. We were never approached to order drinks while relaxing by the pool or even while sitting at the bar, which was disappointing for a resort of this price point.
