Horrible Experience
1.0− We had an employee use a 'manager key' and barged into our room while we were laying in bed watching TV. She seemed startled to see people in the room and started asking questions about when we arrived, saying she had been called by maintenance that the keypad on the door to this room wasn't working. Obviously it worked well enough for her to barge into our room, and we had not had any issues with it at all. She stood in our doorway for way too long just repeating the same things over and over; she never ven apologized for barging into our room. There are 'No Smoking' signs all over, but employees sitting right outside doorways or open windows smoking so that our room smelled like smoke. Advertising a 'Deluxe Continental Breakfast' but it was just quick grab and go items in a very small limited area.
The location was great access to all of Petoskey.
9.0Rooms were very nice-clean and the staff was extremely nice and welcoming.
− I thought I had reserved one room with 2 beds and the other with 1. Both were one bed, however we made it work as nothing else was available.
Afraid I was getting cancer from whatever that chemical odor was.
7.0Breakfast Okay, maybe next upgrade waffle maker.
− Very strong adhesive type smell in room. Like wet paint. The brand new floor is sticky, you really don't want to walk barefoot on it. A big bummer. Staff said they are working to correct. Liked the staff.
It was perfect for our short stay.
9.0Good selection of food. Nice to know that coffee was available all day.
− Minor issue - the floor in the room was not real clean. Although it appeared clean I was barefoot and when I went to put my shoes on my feet were very dirty. That all could have been from us walking around with our shoes on though.
Decent lower mid end, a little high-priced.
5.0Access to our room was easy, and also in and out the parking lot.
− The entrance door to our room, you had to lift up really hard to lock it. The trim on the floor was falling off in the bathroom. There was a dirty washcloth left in our bathroom. We were shorted on washcloths, asked for more, only got a couple of what we needed. the price was definitely high for it being a lower end hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful.
