A comfortable stay in cosy holiday unit
10.0The owner has given thought to providing everything needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen had good selection of all items needed to prepare a good meal. Although we did t use it, the shared BBQ space outdoor (undercover) looked good. The bed was comfortable with crisp fresh linen. Judy the owner was very helpful and friendly.

I ferl we would have has a better experience if there was a reasonable standard of heating. For the price charged for on
2.0It was relatively clean and had good kitchen facilities.
− Upon arrival at 8.30pm the property was freezing cold, no radiators, or any form of storage heating and poor insulation for that time of the year. It was 6/7 degrees outside. Spoke to Judy on the phone in relation to heating and got a very poor reception. Was told to turn on wall fan in the kitchen (situated above the fridge) and electric blanket in the back bedroom. She proceeded to comment that we must be used to a warmer climate. We were offered no other form of heating in the premises. The bathroom was so cold that there was condensation dripping down the windows and we did not use the shower. It took a long time for the kitchen to warm up and after 2 hrs with the electric blanket on we went to use the bed, but pillows etc in the bedroom all felt damp. There was mould on the ceiling. The duvet and pillows for the pullout bed was also in a press in the bedroom but that too was damp and musty as was the mattress in the kitchen/living area. As it was so late we had no choice but to stay. All three of us (adults) used a rug and hot water bottles we had in the car and our coats to sleep under in the kitchen/living area. We left as early as possible the next morning.
