Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Lacking Amenities

I like the location of the property.

− We arrived at the hotel around 11:30 PM after an exhausting 12-hour drive, only to be met with incredibly frustrating service. The reception lobby door was locked, and the receptionist made us stand outside in the sweltering Florida heat and humidity, communicating only through a tiny window. It took a ridiculous 20 minutes just to get our room keys while standing outside. To top off a bad check-in experience, they require a $100 cash deposit, which is highly unusual for hotels in this category. The disappointment continued throughout our stay: Inadequate Housekeeping: This hotel is located in Florida, where guests naturally bring back sand from the beach. Despite staying for multiple nights, regular room cleaning was nonexistent. Their definition of "housekeeping" was simply emptying the trash cans—no sweeping, no vacuuming, and no actual cleaning. Disappointing "Breakfast": They advertise a free breakfast, but calling it that is a massive stretch. It consisted strictly of waffles. There were no eggs, no bread, and absolutely no other options. I would not recommend staying here if you value basic hospitality, comfort, or cleanliness. Management seriously needs to rethink their check-in procedures and housekeeping standards.

Great room… clean, spacious, clean, and comfortable.

Room was in very good condition. Nice big TV with good cable. Large room.

− There was some traffic noise that we covered up with white noise machine. The breakfast was not much… could at least offer some cereal options. We got breakfast at the Chick Fil’a across the street. A little over priced for this type of motel.

Overall this is a value based property with easy access to I-10. Great for a quick stop-over.

The freshly remodeled room was very tastefully done. New flooring was nice and a vast improvement over carpet. The updated lighting gives the room a feel of a much higher priced hotel room.

− If there is one thing that I would point out the was lacking, it would be the breakfast. The selection when I went into the lobby (just after the breakfast area had opened) was seriously meek. There were about 6 slices of raisin bread, 4 slices of white bread, a handful of breakfast bars and the obligatory waffle maker. I grabbed a cup of coffee and went back to my room to pack up and depart.
