Great location but poor maintenance throughout - quite dated.
6.0Location is second to none. A few minutes walk to Bourbon street and not more than 10 minutes to walk to the French market and more or less the same to walk to where you can get your boat trips. The two pools were fine, although I only used one. The bed was comfortable enough and there is a fridge in the room. The lobby area looked nice and you can buy a few items to eat/drink here. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment. I would return myself just on the good comments above, IF I couldn't locate a place better, however, if I was to take the missus, I doubt she would have been too happy.
− Leaking roof in the room which I reported. You could see it was historic as it had tape over it. As it was just a slight drip once in a while and onto the floor not the bed, I was happy to stay as I was only there 2 nights. I reported it anyway. The lock to get in the room was a bit temperamental and the air con very poor. The bath/shower taps had to be operated in a certain way (hold the main fixing while turning the tap), otherwise the whole fixing turned and nothing happened. There was quite a leak from a ceiling downstairs on approaching the lobby and in the two days I was there, only seen a yellow cone to warn of the pool of water. The receptionist didn't seem to happy when I appeared late at night to check in. Not my fault and we've all worked nightshift before! I noticed a can sitting next to the pool and towels left on one of the beds when I left the property in the morning. On my return later in the afternoon, I noticed them still there when I went down. There just appears to be a lack of general tidying up and good maintenance around the place. Probably not enough staff and underpaid I can imagine. So, to sum it up, I guess this place is busy most of the year, so they need to start spending some money on it, investing in the premises and the staff. Good luck
I'll never come back.
1.0NOTHING
− The place is FILTHY. Roaches by the pool and in the rooms. Rodents literally running around outside. Hair in the sheets and in the shower. The place is a dump.
We stayed for one and a half hours due to being allergic to the cats
1.0The location
− Cats were free to roam the property
Excellent hotel.
10.0Highly recommend this place. Great location and really delightful architecture. Room was clean and super comfortable. Cute little pool. Big shout out to Tyler at the front desk, who was super helpful with local knowledge.
Perfect
10.0Really good hotel, good sized rooms and comfortable! Location was perfect, pool was good and friendly staff
Charming authentic French quarter hotel.
8.0I love the place!! Especially KIM and TYLER!! And NOMEKIA!!!! Location was perfect for all we wanted to do—-stroll shops and restaurants, Frenchmen Street for the best jazz clubs and haunts, French market, Cafe Dumont, Bourbon street. And even streetcar rides all within walking distance.
