Helpful staff, but poor maintenance
6.0I stayed at the NH Pisa for one night before an early morning flight. I checked in during the afternoon, left my luggage in the room, and immediately went out to explore Pisa. When I returned around 8:00 PM, I noticed the room temperature was 27°C. I lowered the air conditioning temperature, waited for over an hour, but nothing changed—the room remained at 27°C. I called reception, and to their credit, they responded immediately by sending a staff member who was genuinely helpful. He had to return several times, bringing a ladder to open the ceiling access, removing and cleaning the AC filter, and then reinstalling it. Only after all of this did the room finally begin to cool down. What impressed me was his honesty and commitment. Before leaving, he told me that his shift ended in an hour and asked me to call him before he left if the room still wasn’t cooling, as there would be no one else available to fix it. That level of ownership deserves appreciation. What is disappointing, however, is the hotel’s maintenance process. Air conditioning is a basic expectation, especially during summer. Guests should not have to discover maintenance issues and then spend part of their evening waiting while repairs are carried out. I had an early morning flight at 6:00 AM, and instead of relaxing after a full day of walking around Pisa, I was still dealing with an AC repair until around 9:30 PM. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a comfortable night’s sleep before an early flight, I would not recommend staying here.
Air conditioning does not work on first floor
2.0Lovely helpful staff but accommodation fundamentally flawed as air conditioning not working on first floor. Could not change floor and fan did not alleviate matters. Room temperature was a minimum of 29 degrees during stay. Horrendous nights sleep.
