Cracking pub, excellent food and location, great service - highly recommend
10.0Amazing pub - beautiful food, pretty setting and staff incredibly friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean and well presented. Loved the cookie and fruit in our room on arrival. The food was delicious. A very good night’s sleep.
− Nothing - fantastic pub
Nice but uncomfortable
6.0Very clean and well decorated
− Room rate was extremely expensive for what we got. No ventilation in the room and extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Had to prop the door open to get a breeze. Food was expensive.
Fantastic - we loved it
10.0Beautiful setting. Lovely staff. Excellent food

Wonderful old inn, sympathetically modernised, in a beautifully unspoiled part of West Sussex
9.0The Black Horse is in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled corners of West Sussex, tucked between the South Downs and the Wild Brooks. The building is an old inn, or pub, sympathetically modernised. The beer garden is truly lovely, and the dining room has been tastefully updated. The food is great, both breakfast and dinner, the wine choice excellent, and the service very good indeed.
− The room we stayed in, room 1, was comfortable but lacked a wardrobe. Clothes hangers were supplied, to be hung on hooks on the wall, which worked well enough, but the lack of storage space would be an inconvenience for a stay of more than a couple of nights.
