8.0Different from a chain hotel, need to talk to the friendly hotel owner for check-in and breakfast. Parking on the streets around the village. Very nice terrace.
Haunted castle vibe
6.0Old house that looked like a museum. Had a haunted castle vibe. I was checking paintings for moving eyes! Room was basic, no TV, no AC, but clean. Host added to the haunted castle vibe by being a bit distant, hesitant when talking etc. could have been language barrier. Breakfast was on the veranda which had a great view. Expensive for what it was at almost €200 for one night. And it was hard to get to, in a small town on a hill (adding to creepy Wicker man vibe).

10.0The village, the room, the breakfast were all great and the service outstanding. They helped us with restaurant reservation and made sure we got the best table and overall a very nice experience.
