It was absolutely beautiful especially the reception area ; like a little cathedral inside

− We had some misfortune Booking.Com had a scammer who sent a false message to us through messenger on the Ap that our booking wasn’t secure the day before we left Australia ! It took some clarification by email I had booked 1 night then I realised I needed 2 nights after a long flight so I booked another night However the cost then doubled for no reason ! The price went up to &900 Australian a night ! I was quite distressed re the billing as it came up as Grosvenor Hotel not Clermont so I was afraid it was another scam ( it wasn’t that is their trade name ) I also didn’t know about breakfast being included Some eating areas were closed the first day ….if only we were told we wouldn’t have gone on tour so early and would have had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful room I There was a conference on at the time … they seemed to be well looked after and were able to access all the facilities well ! I found out about when we were leaving to catch a train for our next destination ! It was a very costly and confusing stay Also our room had a very small & dirty double glass window which was disappointing although Victoria square is a fabulous and convenient central location for everything The dinner next door was a beautiful spot to go but you have to make sure you book in early to get a lovely table !!!

Stunning Victorian architecture! Brilliant breakfast buffets with a plethora of choices in beautifu rooms! Great position in the city, very central!l Arrived to a great birthday surprise of bubbles, cake, balloon and a hand written note! A gorgeous touch and very appreciated!

− Rooms are smallish! We had booked a twin room and they gave us a double bed. Carpet didn't smell great BUT instantly rectified and changed to another room with great apologies.

− The bedroom we were allocated the bathroom did not have walk-in shower both being in our seventies was difficult in and out of bath. There also was a sloping roof at one end of bed that was dangerous if getting up in night hitting head

The hotel was beautiful. It was very close to many of the main London attractions like Buckingham Palace. The staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms were very clean. Although they were a bit small, they were neat and attractive. There were several transportation options near the hotel and several really nice places to eat that were fun and affordable.

− The only thing I would say was a problem was the layout of the hotel. To get to our room, we had to take 2 elevators (one of which was quite small) however, it is an older building so it is to be expected.
