8.0It’s a pub with rooms, the room I was in was spotlessly clean. Normal pub noise then quiet at 11 and silent by 11:30. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

2.0Simply the worst Hotel experience I have ever had anywhere in the world! When I checked in the hotel staff was rude and his body language suggested they did not want me to be there. I was given the keys to the room (it looked ok at a glance and the room room temperature was warm). I left for a few hours for dinner and upon my return, the room was stone cold, almost as cold as outside (the temperature outside was below zero with snow). The central heating had been turned off, there was no way for me to turn it back on, and all the staff had gone home. Nobody answered the emergency night phone number or replied to my text messages. I was forced out into the cold at 4am to find alternative accommodation because I could not take the cold any longer. The hotel sent a blunt text the next day simply asking for the room key and did not apologise. I used none of the facilities including the bed and yet the hotel refused a refund for the room! Dirty carpets, outdated decor... simply the worst hotel ever!!
