− Schlafsofa absolut durchgelegen und unbrauchbar. Personal unmotiviert und nur bedingt hilfsbereit. Parkgarage dunkel, eng und sehr unangenehme Gerüchte!

Great location with new and modern rooms.

The Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown has a perfect location. With the Berri-UQAM station literally around the corner, you have immediate and easy access to one of the major hubs of Montreal's subway with three lines stopping there. Within minutes you can access all the major touristic attractions in the city. The hotel is new and the rooms and common areas in good condition. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel. Cost is extra but convenient.

− Unfortunately people in Montreal have the bad habit of smoking indoors despite the hotel policy. On a previous visit there was a strong and obvious smell of cigarette smoke coming through the ventilation shaft in the bathroom. This time, despite the hotels best effort to eliminate the smell of cigarette smoke, there was obvious evidence that previous guests had smoked in the room. The hotel should install smoke detectors in the room and charge hefty fees to guests that disobey non-smoking policy. Lastly, the room-to-room connection using doors that connect rooms is a major problem. those doors have zero sound proofing and it is as if your neighbors were staying in your room. From a loud couple, to a family with young children, if you are in a room connected to another with a door connection you will hear every whisper of your neighbors. The hotel clearly has to work on the soundproofing of those connecting doors.
