10.0The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

10.0This place is absolutely wonderful. Great. Fantastic. Treat yourself to a stay at the Gillen House. You will not regret it. A beautiful renovated 5700 square foot, 1920’s built house. Spacious rooms, incredibly comfortable beds, luxurious bath towels (I miss the towels.) Great hosts, great bkfst, great.

10.0What a place! What wonderful hosts! The Gillen House is a gem. Definitely would recommend it. Edward and Cynzia make the stay so comforting with their kindness, great breakfast and attention to our questions and wants. We will stay again for sure when we get down there way.

10.0This is a beautifully restored historic home, in a lovely very-small-country-village setting. The hosts are attentive and welcoming, and the property is filled with their artistic touches. Breakfast was wonderfully done, fine regional fare. Communication before and after the stay was prompt, thorough, and friendly.
