The Executive Pacific Hotel, used to be my go-to hotel whenever I came up to Seattle to visit friends or family - multiple times a year over a forty year period. but my most recent experience has forced me to look elsewhere. I had made my reservation in two-three weeks ahead of time and was all set. The day before inwas scheduled to arrive - I received an email - demanding a photocopy of my credit card and drivers license in order to check in to the Executive Pacific. I am a victim of the theft and misuse of my personal data by PayPal, and don't feel comfortable emailing my personal documents. My emails to the contact listed in their Reservations Department asking for clarification went unanswered So I stayed someplace else........that I really enjoyed, and which actually offers both a live 24/7 front desk staff- and an in-house restaurant. Now, I have a new go-to hotel on my visits to Seattle ( 4 planned for the rest of the year).

Good location, walking distance to the market, but one thing that bothers is that they have stairs to get to the elevator, you have to go down the stairs or up the stairs with luggage to get to the elevator. It doesn't make sense.

− When we arrived there wasn't help at the front desk. We needed support in our room, but the front desk person said the only help was coming in a few hours later. The sheets were dirty so we asked them to be remade. The staff member told us the staff coming in at 5pm didn't know how to make the beds, so they'd give us sheets and we'd have to make them ourselves. They gave us fitted sheets, but we were so tired we just slept on them. The restaurant was was horrible. A weird mix of expensive bar food and Asian food. They didn't have a kids menu. There was 1 staff member there who was attending the bar, serving and seating people. It was awful.

Good location

− Small rooms, bathtub would not drain, self check-in is ridiculous. If you need an attendant to guide each customer through the self check-in, I don’t understand the point. After a long day of travel, I want to give someone my name, ID and credit card, and be handed a room key, especially for the price I paid. What I got was the expectation to remember the last four digits of the credit card I used for booking, enter all of my information, and to scan my ID. What should have taken 2 minutes took 10 instead.
