Great service, clean rooms, friendly staff, only problem was the lack of use of the pool
8.0Great to both but I did see some locals arriving for a free breakfast.
− The pool is not that big and should be reserved for guests only. There were whole families using the pool who were not staying there. During the storm, they fed their children sandwiches at the upstairs conversation table. They put a shoe in the door to hold it open because they did not have a key to come back inside. Because of the outside number of people using the pool, we were unable to use it.

− The facility seemed clean but my companion ended up with bug bites all down one hip. And there was no hot water.

Very welcoming hotel. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. But having plastic/paper for breakfast was a big disappoint
10.0Very nice property. Loved the design. Beautiful courtyard for your morning coffee. Staff are very friendly!! Loved providing snacks and water.
− Bathroom is a little dated but clean. Did not like paper plates and plastic utensils at breakfast. Plates said that they were recyclable but there was no option for it and it is not really feasible for a hotel.

Big Kudos to All Involved
10.0This is a comfortable, well designed Inn, with easy access to the Salem hospital, but expertly designed to be removed enough to to feel like a vacation stay. The lobby is huge with a high ceiling, lots of comfortable chairs, and a beautiful, shaded outdoor seating era. The interior design is top-notch, mid-century modern - right up my alley. And because the hallways "bend" it avoids that cold, industrial feel many hotels have. Moreover, I am disabled and was worried about comfort. Our accessible room had a large, overstuffed chair which was perfect for me. We also stayed during a heat wave of 100+ F days and were worried the A/C would not keep up, but it was also perfect. The pool is small, but lovely, and just what I needed to get a little exercise. The breakfast was well stocked and varied a little bit each day. Finally, everything was clean, and the staff were friendly, proactive and responsive. Highly recommend this Inn in every way. Well done to the designers, staff and management!
