During our arrival the island of Múrura should have been closed for any visitors, however we only found out after arriving at the island at 18.15pm. We were able to reserve on Expedia without any warning. We took a boat from Rincon del Mar, without anybody telling us it was prohibited to go. Upon arrival their was some understandable confusion, however after a call with the owner everything was nicely solved by the owner of the place who lives in Bogota. Wow, what a difference next morning when the manager (who should have kept the Expedia side closed B-) arrived. An aggressive young man who needs to show the world his importance. Of course we do understand that everybody got into a complicated situation because we arrived, however talking irrespecutful about the owner, rude to guests (which we are in the end) and the worst being aggressive. The funny thing: the manager is not from the islands, but comes from Cali and it where the locals who were friendly and ok, including the president of the community. Anyhow, we believe that under normal conditions this place can be attractive if you like a beautiful sea. Hence we strongly suggest the owner to find a more suitable manager, cause this young man has not yet come to understood what the true meaning is of the word "hospitality" implies.

Une pause turquoise

10.0

Une expérience fabuleuse, coupées du monde, sans téléphone, sans internet, loin de l'animation et du bruit, au calme, au bord d'une superbe plage turquoise et choyées par une équipe adorable.

When you arrive at the island, someone from Dahlandia comes to walk you through a very nice resort. But then you arrive at Dahlandia and it is the saddest establishment on the island. They let you in through a barbed wire fence past a sign that warns you about a dangerous dog. There was no one there to book any of the snorkeling, mangrove, or phytoplankton tours, and since all of those are on a different island, there isn't anything else to do. We went back to the other hotel where there was a volleyball court, bar, and much nicer beach. The other resort also has a desk to schedule tours. The other resort must have noticed that we were hanging out at theirbar with our Dahlandia wrist bands because there was a man at the barbed wire gate the next day who was interrogating us about where we were going and warning us not to use the other hotel's amenities. When we told him that we would pay extra just to borrow their snorkels, he agreed to let us through but then the dog was out. There is a large, aggressive dog chained to a tree that is exactly the length to prevent you from walking past the owners house without walking into the water to get around him. It felt very dangerous. We started to feel trapped at this hostel where we slept in a shed and had difficulty tracking down someone to give us bottled water. We spoke to the other hotel and asked about the price and we were so upset to learn that the much nicer place had the same rate!

Lugar muy agradable, pero con muy bajo confort

8.0

Un lugar muy auténtico, tranquilidad absoluta, tiene una playa pequeña pero muy agradable. La comida no es muy buena. El colchon no era muy cómodo.

Wonderful attention, beautiful grounds, every question or need was met with care, we loved speaking with Professor Fabio. We felt like we were treated so well and enjoyed every moment.
