A special Ryokan experience

10.0

Choosing a Ryokan for our 2 night stay in Kinosaki Onsen was difficult. We were so delighted with our choice. Tajimaya is a small property so it's quiet and intimate. You can spend a lot more in this town and we were delighted with our experience versus price point. As a non Japanese the whole thing can be a bit daunting but the staff took care to make us feel comfortable and welcome while enjoying every bit of this special experience. We loved the private baths and wandering the town in our beautiful Yukata. We were fortunate to visit during cherry blossom and it was a delight to be out at night experiencing the magic at night. No two meals were the same and one night was my husband's birthday and that was beautifully acknowledged.

Splendid experience

10.0

What a charming place and extroardinary experience! While all was foreign to us Americans, the engaged kindly staff acclimated us to the ryokan and onsen experience. Even though the ryokan provided a pass to the public onsen, we found this ryokan's own 3 private baths to be even more splendid. It was fun to walk around town in the ryokan's yakata outfits, experience the delicious and exquisite in-room dinner and breakfast, sleep on the comfy futon, and gaze at the beauty of the tastefully architected and furnished place. Centrally located, a 10 minute walk from the Kinosaki-onsen train station. No need to stay longer than one night.

Property was slightly away from the busy thoroughfare, but close to everything.Nice small Ryokan. Own private onsens, 3 in total... my teenage boys not ready to immerse themselves into the public onsens, handy having private on premises. May have been a little over priced however the experience was amazing . Staff were lovely. Room was nice, could do with a touch up but not an issue at all.

A Good Japanese Experience!

8.0

We stayed in this Riokan just one night but i think it is enough to experience the japanese most known accomodation. The staff is friendly but their english is very very poor and this makes interactions very hard. At your arrival they give you kimonos so that you can fully dive into their culture and you can also go arould kinosaki dressed that way. The dinner is amazig, with all the tipical japanese dishes served in the very best way. Breakfast is very tipical as well, meaning that there is no sweet choice :(

Stayed at this ryokan and the rooms were spacious. Clean and well organized. Yuna took care of us throughout our stay. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. I will definitely stay at this ryokan on my next trip. Highly recommend!!!
