Comfortable, kitsch, and memorable!
10.0Angus, the host was great! Very personable, attentive, and down to earth! It was one of the highlights of our trip to be able to talk to him about Scotland and his travels. We loved the vegan breakfast he made specially for us. We both felt like staying at this B&B was a unique experience that added value to our trip and was better than staying in a hotel!

Great stay at Agnus Lighthouse Cottage
9.0The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the house decoration was really interesting, with a mix of lego, star wars, planes, and other collectables. Agnus was friendly and since we had breakfast included he prepared it for us each of the mornings. The rooms have a shared bathroom, which was according to the booking information, and the facility was clean. We had dinner at a nearby place (The Galley), which offered decent food. The Fairy Glen was extremely close to the house and for other touristic visits a longer car trip was needed, which was fine.
− There is parking available but make sure you park the way Agnus indicates so everyone can come in and out easily (drivers on the main road pass quite fast so it is dangerous to back into it).

9.0Maison de charme située sur l'ile de Skye. Très bon accueil de la part d'Angus qui met tout le nécessaire à disposition et apporte un petit-déjeuner complet dans votre chambre le matin.
− La salle de bain et les toilettes sont partagés et suivant les personnes avec qui vous tombez cela peut être désagréable.

10.0Angus était très gentil et a disposition. Sa maison est très jolie et l'accueil chaleureux. On s'y sent bien. Chambre très spacieuse avec une belle vue.
Worst I ever experienced in my life.
1.0− The owner greeted us in the driveway by berating us for being 22 minutes late. Said we were high maintenance Americans. I apologized for being 22 minutes late and tried to explain to him why and he wouldnt let me finish my sentence and said it shouldnt have taken us that long to drive from Oban to Skye and said what were you doing on the way. I was surprised to find the location to be 10 miles away from Portree and told him I thought from the description it was very close and he said if you dont like it then why dont you leave, I dont want you here and will give you a full refund if you leave now,right now. I said how do we find a vacancy this late and he said thats your problem. The owner was extremely rude and had great anger issues. We out of desperation stayed the first night and in the morning left and by luck found a lovely room with lovely people at the Woodside Inn in Portree. So I called Angus Stuart to tell him we wouldnt be back for our second night and to let him know where I left the key and he hung up on me.
