Flying visit
6.0The hotel was pleasant enough (was only there for one night, room only). Entrance was nice, but the building is looking a little tired. The room was fairly basic, did the job, just nothing fancy. The hotel were clearly having some staffing issues due to Covid, so minimal housekeeping had been done. There were only 2 pillows for the bed, and a lack of towels in the room. Had I been staying longer, I would probably have had a word with staff to rectify problems, but all I needed was a bed for the night, so it worked for me

6.0Beautiful building but in desperate need of some TLC and modernisation. Dining room looked a bit grubby and was expensive at more than £43 for 2 pints and 2 plates of fish and chips, albeit the fish and chips was delicious. Nice big bed but pillows very uncomfortable and bathroon had seen better days.
