We met Ana after having a frustrating experience when a bartender completely dismissed my mom and me, and never came back to help us, then continued serving people who arrived after us. When Ana noticed we still weren’t getting helped out she quickly came over to ask what we needed and how she could help us. She helped us get our drinks and made sure our pizza was getting heated. Her excellent customer service completely changed our experience.

We had a wonderful check-in experience at Hilton Torrey Pines thanks to Nelly at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. She made the check-in process smooth and took the time to answer our questions with patience and a warm attitude. Traveling with my mom and sister, we really appreciated how friendly and professional she was. Her excellent customer service made us feel valued as guests and started our stay on a very positive note. Thank you, Nelly, for your outstanding hospitality!

A Solid Property Undercut by the Details

The facilities were pleasant, but fell short of what one would expect from a high-end golf resort — it was the small details that felt out of place. Check-in was particularly disappointing: despite calling ahead multiple times to confirm an early arrival, I was met at the desk by a concierge who curtly informed me that my room was not ready and that standard check-in was 4 PM, regardless of prior conversations. Fifteen minutes later, I received notice that the room was in fact ready. To add to the frustration, I was charged for a room upgrade I never actually received — though to their credit, the bill was adjusted accordingly once flagged. It’s a perfectly adequate property, but certainly not the experience I was expecting at this level.

Really was thankful for all the help with $50 complementary food and drinks. Thank you keeping the environment quiet around us. Very easy to communicate with you. Rooms were great and clean. Loved being in the restaurant enjoying the world cup game. Thank you Finn in the restaurant, so kind and respectful waiter. One thing we think you could improve on is the jacuzzi. Everyone here was so friendly and we were so close to our favorite location La Jolla. Can't wait to come back for our 25th anniversary.
