Raw Breakfast
2.0I came to have breakfast here, since I saw good reviews on their food. However when I got served my pancakes I saw them all raw. The manager was kind enough to take it off my bill. I don’t think I would eat here again in worries of my food being uncooked again.
Would not stay there again unless they change management.
5.0Its location in Hana is awesome, close to the National Park and the beautiful Road to Hana. The room was huge.
− The level of staff training falls far short of what you would expect from a destination resort. The hotel is in urgent need of renovation and better maintenance. For example, the blinds in our suite were missing screws and could not be closed properly. We also had a disappointing experience at the hotel restaurant, The Ranch. During our second dinner, I ordered a Coke Zero, but the waitress told me they did not have any. When I mentioned that they had served it the previous evening, she insisted that the restaurant had never carried it. On my way out, I asked another waiter, who confirmed that Coke Zero was indeed available. Rather than dismissing what I said, the waitress could simply have offered to check. The pool restaurant also has very few food options. The menu could be significantly improved with more variety and better choices. Overall, the property has potential, but it needs urgent attention to maintenance, dining options, and—most importantly—staff training and customer service. The price is also not consistent with the service level you get.
6 stars if I could
10.0Would give 6 stars if I could, staff is incredible, the rooms as beautiful and the view is amazing. Would stay here forever and be happy
Fantastic Resort but Stop the Day Pass Policy for Non-Guests
8.0This was our family's second trip to the Hana Maui Resort and my 4th over a 45 year span. A beautiful resort with gorgeous grounds and fantastic staff. Our family of 6 adults stayed in 3 Bungalows for 6 nights. The staff, amazing!! Kaala at the front desk was exceptional, just incredibly helpful and accommodating. Marlene at the infinity pool was amazing, great service and wonderful to speak with. Lucinda, Leilani, Lyman, Chey, and all the breakfast staff were wonderful. Housekeeping was incredibly accommodating as well. Our biggest complaint is the new policy of allowing "Day Passes" to people not staying at the Resort. We paid a lot of money for three Bungalows for 6 nights and the infinity pool was always overcrowded, hard to find chairs and impossible to find chairs with shade or even pool towels. And, multiple times there were 1 or 2 year olds in swim diapers in the hot tub. Crazy. That is a real deal breaker for planning a future visit.
Maui Family Vacation
10.0Beautiful setting! Very helpful and kind staff. Great location. We would go back in a heartbeat! So relaxing and peaceful.
Beautiful location but poorly maintained
6.0Not worth the cash price, but a decent use of Hyatt points if you need a place to stay on the Road to Hana. I wouldn't want to stay here more than 2 nights. Multiple window shutters were partially broken. Window curtains were partially broken. Furniture seemed mismatched (low bed with high bedside tables, for example). Lots of random cosmetic issues throughout the room and hotel grounds. Staff was friendly and the location is beautiful. We ate at the nearby food trucks to avoid the poorly reviewed hotel affiliated restaurant.
