7.0The places was new and clean. The pool was noce and the view was amazing. The pier was amazing and the little beach with chairs was very relaxing.
− The only thuing I did not like was the elevators. Even though it was a short 2 story ride the elevators where not Air conditioned and it was heat index of 107 outside and the 60 sec ride was like a sauna.
River Hotel of Southport is an excellent choice!
10.0It was a lovely, clean room with a beautiful view of the Cape Fear river. We got to watch dolphins playing in the water early one morning, Spectacular! Southport is a great little town just a few blocks from the hotel with great food and shopping. Lots of cuisines and pubs to choose from.

6.0When checked in and entered the room was hit with the musty smell of mold and mildew. Within an hour was beginning an allergy attack that has lasted for one week and required medical attention. So much for a getaway weekend. The room was otherwise clean but very minimally appointed. Location on the river was nice but view from the room very limited. Doubt we’ll return.
