Booking the a la cartes was very simple, with plenty of availability to choose our preferred time. We were served by Jennifer, and she was great! Prompt service, quick arrival of food. Accurate delivery of plates for a large family. We all enjoyed our dishes, from appies to main dish to dessert.

Excellent family resort!

10.0

We arrived at about 9pm and checked in, all went smoothly and the bell boys took our luggage to the room and brought us a cot while we went for dinner in the buffet. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and requested 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom and a washer/dryer(which we did get), but there was only 1 king in each room, and a sofa bed for 6 of us. So we would of been fine with that, but for 2 weeks would save alot of bickering with the extra cot lol. We did the breakfast buffet every morning(I think that was only choice, but not 100% sure). The fruit was always fresh and we enjoyed the omelet station and chilequile station(my first time trying chilequile). Service was always great but when it came time to signing off on the bill it was a bit annoying waiting to find our server. And by the pool and beach we forgot a few times and they had to chase us down, felt bad about that. We spent time at 3 of the pools, one was a quiet pool and the other was the one with the water slides and had music playing and the other was on the marina side of the  coba tower. The main pool had activities during the day, but compared to other resorts we've been to, they lacked on the daily pool activities for sure in my opinion. But the kids signed out a football or a ball to play basketball and loved that. The beach area was where we spent most of our time, we loved that we could order drinks and food (from 10 to 5 i believe) to our palapa. The beach snack food was great, an awesome selection, tacos, nachos, burger, chicken tenders, chicken ceasar salad, sushi and pizza! We had amazing service by Rohelio! The kids rented boogie boards and enjoyed the waves. The sand was awesome, we weren't expecting it to be as nice. The evening shows we decent, the monday mexican dinner was great, and the mexican show was pretty good, but drug on a bit(we wished it started while everyone ate, so the kids didn't get bored). And the western dinner and show same....the kids all rode the electronic bull and thought that was awesome. There was other entertainment sunday, tuesday and Thursday that was mediocre, but we were glad that something was happening. Friday night was a Fireshow that was pretty good, but we had just done rythm of the night, so obviously didnt compare lol. Our room was cleaned impeccably every day! Shout out to Rita! The entire resort was meticulously manicured and clean! Normally we do the timeshare presentation just so we dont get harassed and maybe to get a free or discounted excursion, but other than a note under our door saying they have a welcome package by the concierge (so I may have missed out on whatever that was lol) we were never bothered about attending the 'brunch' or timeshare presentation. Loved that. We checked out the kids camp twice for the youngest who is 11 amd there was only small children in there, so he didnt want to go. Even tho there was only a few kids in there, they looked busy with activities both times. The lobby cafe was great, opened fairly early and we'd go get espresso or coffee and carolans, or cappuccinos from there. In the evening the kids ordered pizza there a few times to bring back to the room. Very family oriented, lots of families with kids or toddlers, some couples as well, but definitely not a party place, for all inclusive we didnt find a bar open after 10:30. The Skybar was open late, but wasnt included in the AI (but you could use your specialty dining there). Buffet lunch and dinner buffets were not bad, a bit repetitive, but the kids were always happy with it. Italian night was probably our favorite. The kids loved the smoothies and piniadas (no alcohol Pina coladas). Ice cream booth wasnt included in the AI but wasnt too expensive. ♿️ accessibility, even though none of us have accessibility issues, it looks like an amazingly accessible place, lots of great walkways and proper ramps. I noticed several scooters and wheelchairs easily getting around and there's a sidewalk along the resort between the pools and beach, so wheelchairs can get to the beach snack bar. They have a bit of a wooden walkway towards the ocean, so helpful to get to a palapa if you have some mobilty (eg. Walkers).  No swim up bar, which was a bit disappointing, but I found it easy to get drinks by the pool, as long as we had loungers. Even in the pool I could order and they'd bring them to our loungers. Getting loungers and beach chairs... (we were there during spring break after the Feb 22,2026 Cartell incident). One of us went out about 730 or 8am and grabbed a couple umbrella covered loungers, and there weren't many left but found some every day. By 9 they were all taken, but lots of loungers available just not covered ones. By the beach we would go pretty much any time and could easily find a palapa every day. Pickleball, some of our group went and played pickleball, which was very popular and cost approx. 80 pesos to rent paddles, but we brought our own so it was free to play. You could only book the  court within 24 hours so ppl couldnt book up every day, which was good. The resort was a good size in my opinion, not so big you couldnt keep track of the kids. Specialty dining for AI, there are just 3, the Mexican, the sushi restaurant (different menu than snack bar sushi) and skybar(which is adults only). There are a couple other restaurants i believe that arent part of AI, so I wont include them here. The Mexican restaurant was nice, there was some great appetizers(the coconut shrimp and roasted corn soup was a hit in our group). Most of us had steak, which we all enjoyed, even though its nothing like our steaks at home(not a big juicy steak, like back home). The Sushi restaurant was also enjoyable. The skybar was a beautiful setting and was amazing to watch the sunset. I enjoyed all 3 restaurants and service was  top notch, however even in the buffets we had awesome service. Exchanging pesos, we were able to exchange bigger bills easily at the front desk and there was also a bank counter in the lobby, but none of us used it(its only open weekdays i believe). Sorry my review was kind of all over the place but hopefully you gind it helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!
