4.0The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold there was no in the middle... The place was loud and I could hear the pub below. My heater didn't work at all so unless I was under my covers I was freezing. The lady behind the counter was super friendly but there was no staff at night once the pub closed and the walls were very thin so I had to blast "sleep music" to drown out the guy on the other side of the wall who was snoring extremely loud. Over all a decent enough stay for the price but wouldn't recommend to anyone sensitive to noise while sleeping. At least the place was clean and the TV worked.
Disappointment this time round
4.0I have stayed at the bell hotel before and knew the standard state of the place.. only booked as it was cheap and closest to the place I was working plus only 1 night.. only found out after staying before for 2 weeks that they do have a microwave, fridge on ground floor if you need to use it.. however the room (4) had a odd smell, no remote for the tv and did not work without a remote.. the window was not double glazed and made the room very cold .. bed is outdated and very uncomfortable compared to the last time I stayed.. wasn’t impressed this time round. No parking as mainly taken up by the locals as it’s the same cars from the last past weeks I have stayed.. you have to wait after 6pm if you want to park on the street with out getting a ticket.. very nosy from the boy races late at night.. hardly got any sleep.. was not happy this time round..
You pay for what you get
8.0Professional Review The accommodation offers a basic yet comfortable stay, ideal for a good night’s rest. However, the shared shower and toilet facilities may not suit everyone’s preferences. I stayed for two weeks intermittently due to work, with the property conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from my workplace. During the first week, parking was manageable, but the second week presented challenges. The pub’s local patrons frequently occupied the two available parking bays, and on occasion, vehicles were parked across both spaces. This issue was compounded by the restrictive parking rules, which allow no alternative parking until after 6 PM, with a requirement to move your car before 9 AM. As for the pub itself, it offers a decent experience. Overall, the accommodation serves its purpose for short stays, but the limited amenities and parking situation reflect the adage: “You get what you pay for.”
