9.0Breakfast was continental, seemed like a varied selection
Great pub and location but wouldn't stay again due to poor sleep quality.
7.0The pub was lovely, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
− No heating in the room. 7°C at night, it was really cold. Requested more blankets but didn't receive them. Sunrise at 0430 and no black out curtains meant an early wake up call and traffic noise all night which could have been blocked out with better windows.

Amazing find for beer/cider, food, accomodation and professional friendly staff - highly recommend!
9.0Pretty much everything was over and above what we expected! Thoughtful extras made the stay - like- prpoer coffee bags in the room, free wifi, complimentary netflix, big shower, heated bathroom mirror to prevent steaming up, climate control machine in the wardrobe - very essential in the heat of the weekend of our stay! .. and all in a grade 1 listed building The bar had amazing beers and ciders, and nothing prepared us for the superb food in the attached restaurant - this is far more than a pub kitchen!!! Excellent attentive knowledgable staff, good on site parking, great outside seating area, and the icing on the cake was the complimentary muffins and pastries for anyone to take to their rooms for a tsay breakfast whatever time you needed to leave. We knew on the Sunday we had a 6.30 start and thought there would be no chance of breakfast on any type, and this blew us away. Thank you for thinking of everything!!
− Only very minor things which are impossible to do anything about - biggest bed you could get into the room meant moving round was a bit of a squeeze, but at the age and size we are, we would not have swopped the big double for anything smaller! The access to the accommodation is via an outside metal staircase and then inside spiral stairs - there is no lift , so you do need to be reasonably mobile and not have big bags to carry up - again, old listed building, it is what it is. The inside sash windows are secondary glazed to cut out noise, but even when opened, the room was still very warm that weekend, and much better when we found the climate control machine which was not pointed out to us verbally or by written instruction. I've really had to rack my brain and be picky to offer anything in this section, and most of it is outside of your gift to fix.
