10.0The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and is set on a beautiful historic estate with lovely gardens and a golf course. During our stay Marriott organized a special event where guests could try golf, which was a nice touch. The outdoor pool was great and became the perfect place to relax during the hot weather. The breakfasts were excellent, and the traditional Afternoon Tea (£50 per person) was a lovely experience. Overall, the property has a unique charm and is perfect for a peaceful countryside getaway.
− The only major downside was the lack of air conditioning. Unfortunately, we visited during an exceptional heatwave, with temperatures reaching around 40–45°C, and it was extremely difficult to stay comfortably anywhere indoors. The only air-conditioned space we found was the gym. We spent most of our time by the pool just to stay cool, but the heat inside the hotel and rooms was still very challenging. Air conditioning would make a huge difference, especially during unusually hot summer periods.
