This place was a little hard to find by google maps but definitely worth it once we found it. The owners were also the hosts and they were very friendly people. They didn’t accept credit cards but they said soon they would. Really small and cozy place with a short 20 min walk to Gubei Water town, which is a locals’ tourist trap. I’d love to come back to this place.

First (important) point: the Hotel is not located as shown in google maps (or on the website) very next to Gubei Watertown, but it is only 1.5km away from the entrance. Just search for "Xiaohua Inn". And the price is much cheaper than the hotels in the center of Gubei Water town. The Hotel is very nice, modern and the staff is very helpful. Some of them speak english, and they helped us in any question. Breakfast was included (mostly Chinese food, but also toast, Coffee and boiled eggs. We would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to see Gubei Water Town. If you don't find any information about GWT: search for Beijing Water Town.

InNature is certainly as its name suggests brings you back to nature. Its located in a village 2 km from Gubei Watertown and provides a homely and yet modern accommodation . The service is 5* . Love the place and the people that manages to place. Jen and others that helps to manage the place treats us like family and both too difficult . Do remember yo call them arrange transport if you dont gave your own car as its in a village 3 km away with public transport that may not be too frequent as far as I know.

I rarely write in depth reviews but our stay at the InNature Inn was simply amazing! Our host Paula was oustanding and his wonderful staff went out of their way to ensure our stay at Gubei was a memorable one. The inn is actutally in the next town of Simatai Village, which is 2km north of Gubei Watertown. Paula was kind enough to drive us to and from the Gubei WT, as well as to the Gubeikou Train Station on our last day. The inn is very modern and the wifi was excellent for our needs. Breakfast was served each morning and the food was delicious. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom had all the modern amenities. The Simatai Wall is above GWT, but we chose to climb Jinshanling. Preferably, the wall above the Gubeikou Railway Station is the most accessible and most beautiful. The train from GRS to Beijing is 12yauns and takes 2.5 hours, and the scenery from the train is stunning. Paula suggested the train for our return to the city, and we are forever grateful.
