5.0− Extremely disappointed that coffeemakers are no longer available in the room. I don't want to get dressed and go down to the lobby before I can have a cup of coffee in the morning. We stayed for 2 nights and while I no longer expect fresh towels or linens every day, I do expect for my bed to be made and my trash dumped. Very disappointed.
We wanted a weekend getaway for our birthdays.

6.0Primarily Location and cost. I wanted a place that I could use as a base of operations. This motel was dated and basic but I did not expect luxurious accommodations. It was clean and easy to get into and out of with little problems. That was sufficient for my needs. access to Elkins was easy and there was a grocery shop within walking distance.
− The staff was rather nonchalant and perfunctory in their tasks. I did not ask much of them and they did not solicit my feedback. Noticed that this motel was situated across from an active rifle range and was glad that whoever used the range were pointing away from the road and motel. Also glad that the range did not have lights so the shooting stopped by the time darkness was in place.
