1.0− We stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Charlottesville and had a very disappointing experience. The mattress had a large, deep depression in it that made the bed extremely uncomfortable. My husband had to sleep on one side so I could rest before my nursing shift, and the mattress aggravated his existing lower-back pain. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication afterward. I contacted the hotel manager multiple times by email regarding a refund, and Booking.com also attempted to contact the property. The manager did not respond to my emails or to Booking.com’s request, leaving the issue unresolved. I understand that problems can happen, but ignoring a guest’s legitimate complaint is unacceptable customer service. I would not recommend this property based on the condition of the mattress and the manager’s failure to communicate or make a reasonable effort to resolve the situation.
