Pleasant enough stay but poor service from desk clerk means we won’t stay again.
7.0Our room was bright, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was adequate. Checking was pleasant and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
− We were staying because our furnace died and our house was freezing. It didn’t get repaired as expected so on Monday night I asked if we could extend our reservation. We were told we couldn’t because it was through Booking.com. I asked if there was any other way. The clerk said the system told him our room wasn’t available for Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Since there were 4 people at breakfast that morning I knew the hotel was at least half empty and the clerk apparently didn’t like my comments and took them personally. I apologized but was shocked that he found no space available for us. He basically did nothing. I made arrangements with a different hotel and don’t plan to stay at this hotel again.
