Payment scam ???
3.0− They have screwed up my payment..paid when i booked in stayed overnight ..now they claim my payment didnt go through nothing said at the time and my bank shows the money taken ..but somehow have refunded my money a week later ??? And are now contacting me for repayment..how disorganised is this and the phone number does not come up as leaonardo hotel on my phone but Burford Restaraunt..is this some sort of scam or complete incompetance..have used them regularly in the past without difficulties

10.0We stayed in a suite and well worth paying slightly extra. It was a big beautiful room with a lounge, sofa, fridge, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one with a big bath) the bed was huge and the whole experience was wonderful. Because we chose a suite - the hotel gave us some vouchers which included a complimentary alcoholic drink/ a complimentary hot drink and 20% off food and drink. The breakfast was amazing! Plenty of choice and lovely and fresh. To top it off - all the staff were really lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
− The only thing I would say is that there are 2 sets of stairs leading down from reception to access the hotel rooms. No ramps to wheel suitcases down - so if you happen to have a heavy suitcase and are on your own with a child - it's a case of having to stop and carry your suitcase down the stairs. Two sets. Which is frustrating. There IS however an accessibility lift/hoist- for getting up and down the steps.

7.0It was very close to the wedding venue we were attending.
− The room we had was very hot-no aircon. The first night was pretty unbearable to try and sleep. It was mostly clean enough but not attention to detail (found cobwebs, a few stains in the fridge). The evening food was not of great quality-clearly reheated and strange choices (eg pickled onion on a pizza). The kids meals also took a really long time to come despite the restaurant being quiet.
Corporate hotel and probably much nicer in cooler months
6.0It’s what you can expect from corporate chain hotel and it does the job if you traveling I between locations and need a place to stop. Outside terrace to have a drink in evening is nice. Pool area nice.
− Rooms do not have air conditioning and it’s unbearably hot in hot summer days. Staff do they best and offer you single sheets and ice buckets and there is fans and air cooling units in room but it does not make difference. No offer of complimentary drink or food or reduction in room rates when speaking about temperatures in room. A bit disappointing , but I’m sure in colder months we would have a different view of the hotel.
