FH55 Grand Hotel Palatino

Location is key and the room was huge.

The location was great. We could walk to many of our activities and to some wonderful places to eat. The room was large and full of light, quiet most of the time. The bathroom was big with a fabulous shower and double sinks, plus a separate toilet and bidet. The air conditioning worked really well. We received one large free bottle of mineral water daily, some of which we stored in a smaller bottle of our own in the packed snack refrigerator. Breakfast was abundant and available from 6;30 to 10;30. This is a large, busy international hotel with lots of people coming and going, which affords anonymity.

− We prefer lower pillows, and my husband thought the bed was too soft. There were times when very loud children ran up and down the halls yelling at each other. Our TV broke one night and kept turning on by itself every ten minutes. Maintenance people pulled it out from the wall and fixed it the next day. For the cost of having laundry done we could have bought new clothes and thrown away the old ones, and then we were charged twice for the same batch, but we caught it and the bill was corrected. There are probably twenty different light switches in the room, and we never seemed to get them straight. The breakfast, while decent, is served in a zoo like atmosphere where if you want fresh squeezed juice you're told to make it yourself in a juicer that puts the pulp from someone else's drink into yours. I felt sorry for the harried breakfast staff whose main job was to clear away plates and set up new tables. Most importantly I would warn potential guests to check your final bill. We were in a hurry to catch our taxi to the airport and missed the extra charge of 104 euros above and beyond what Booking.com quoted as our final price. It turns out this was an extra service charge in lieu of tips for the staff. Italian law says that these charges on a bill must be disclosed, but they weren't. They are supposed to be at the guests' discretion, so they are voluntary. We had already tipped our maid each day with cash and thought that was the right thing to do. I just hope that the extra charges are really distributed to the staff and not kept by a corporate entity.

The room was so spacious and clean. I really had a wonder stay at the grand hotel palatino. The hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely recommend

Η τοποθεσία , το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενέστατο κ ήξερε πραγματικά την δουλειά του !

− Ενώ έγραφε ότι είχε πάρκινγκ στο booking , το Πάρκιγκ του ήταν κλειστό λόγω ανακαίνισης . Δεν το είχαν ενημερώσει . Ευτυχώς το προσωπικό μας έστειλε σ ένα άλλο ιδιωτικό 15 λεπτά με τα πόδια . Που πληρώσαμε για μηχανή 25 ευρώ την ημέρα .
