3.0The check in was operative and the workers there friendly.
− We did not have a good experience with the hotel. The room we got was nothing of the advertised or the pictures provided on Booking.com. First, it was very small, so despite booking for 2 grown adults, we were given a room where the bed was pushed against the wall leaving access only through one side of it. We only had two hand luggage suitcases, and there wasn't even anywhere to store or properly open those. I cannot imagine with larger luggage. Cleanliness was also an issue - other guests hair, stains on the walls, bathroom mold on the tiles in and around the shower, moldy smell in the bathroom. Overall, my feeling was that the rooms were not well maintained. Other travelers should also be aware that there is no soundproofing either within the hotel between rooms nor towards the street which is very lively and loud well into the night and very early in the morning. You will have relative silence between hours 3am-5am only. At the same time, cannot fault the hotel for this too much as Galata is a loud area and the building is old. We had booked 4 nights and checked out after the first night, leaving for another hotel. The hotel argued that they cannot issue refund, not even partial for the unused 3 nights. The room, cleanliness, facilities are just not at all compatible with the price of the room. You can easily get much better hotel in Istanbul for the same cost.

10.0The location was excellent and the staff were really helpful and welcoming to us during our stay. We enjoyed a nice breakfast nearby that was included in our stay. We loved the Galata area and hope to return.
