10.0Wilson Island is a next level experience if you are looking to disconnect - no wifi, no 4g. The food was delicous, timing of meals well thought through, the staff very friendly and helpful but left you to your own company
− For me the beds are too soft but this was a minor issue

9.0It’s just the most stunning location you can imagine. We were there at the beginning of the breading seasons for turtles and different birds which was brilliant. You do have to have strong ears at night to accommodate their cacophonies. Liam, our cook, outdid himself with every meal, really impressive making the experience top notch. And the tents are very comfortable.
− The Heron Island organization seems biting itself in the tale every once in a while. The restrictive boat schedule and excessive cost of alternative transportation counter the idea of accommodating luxury travelers. Heron Island staff if doing their best however to patch up these managerial problems.
Paradise Found.
10.0The fantastic staff, Nick, Beth and Ben, really looked after everybody, and no request was too big or too small. The location and the seclusion were super relaxing. The snorkelling was unbelievable!
− Personally, I loved everything about the property. It might not be for everyone, as you do have communal showers and toilets due to their commitment to preserving the environment. The benefit of which is seeing the abundance of wildlife on the island.

Please note that Wilson Island is accessible by boat from Heron Island. The transfer between Wilson Island and Heron Island is included in the accommodations but guests will still need to make their way to Heron Island.
The boat to Wilson Island departs Heron Island at approximately 2.00 pm. The return transfer will depart Wilson Island at approximately 10.00 am. Heron Island is accessible by boat and helicopter from Gladstone. The boat transfer will depart Gladstone Marina for Heron Island at 09:30 daily, except Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The return boat transfer will depart from Heron Island at 12:45 daily, except Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. The Heron Islander does not be operating on Christmas Day. The cost of the transfer on the Heron Islander is AUD 85 per adult one-way and AUD 45 per child one-way. Please contact the Heron Island Reservations team to make your transfer booking.

An Environmental Management Charge (EMC) of AUD 7.00 per person per day (for guests 5 years and older) to a maximum of AUD 21.00 per person per stay will be charged direct to guests. Price is subject to change.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.
