We had to leave the room. It was a 2 night stay. Luckily we were from Rapid City. We went back home.

Unacceptable. The room would not cool down. It was about 100 degrees. We left the room once we found out it wouldn’t get cool in the room.

− There was nowhere to sit other than on the bed. We got a king size bed. There was a room with a TV next to it. But only an end table to sit on if that is what it was there for. The room had cool, heat, fan on “low” or “high” setting. There was no thermostat. We turned the “cool” settings on, mind you, it was hot as hell when we walked in. Called the front desk and asked if it would get cooler in the room. The gentleman said it would get cooler. We left for 3 hours to get out of the heat. When we got back, it didn’t get cooler. It was cooler outside and it was 89 degrees outside. We had to leave the room. There wasn’t a fridge or a place to relax by sitting down inside the room. There was not even the most basic chair to allow easy clean up for the cleaning folks. So odd to not think about the customer.

The location isn't bad

− There were no real blankets on the beds and you could feel the springs in your back

Didn’t even have a key for the room. Front desk had to let me in and gave me their phone number. Had no water and used the vending machine and didn’t get my purchase out of it.

Awful and Unclean

Location. Directly off route and close to Spearfish Canyon.

− The facility was dirty- looked like no one swept the carpets for awhile. There were black flies coming up from the sink hole. We found a fake fingernail at the toilet base. There were crumbs under the bed skirt. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. The chair in the room was pee’ed on. We had no refrigerator in our room - it appeared to have been taken out of its cabinet. There was no pool or hot tub as advertised and the advertised restaurant was a pizza parlor attached.

Large room and a great location. The facility was very clean and the managers friendly.

− No lights in the bathroom. You had to use the timer light instead of the light switch. Moved a regular light fixture to the counter in order to have consistent light. The pool was not open, which for traveling families might be a deal breaker.

I'm glad it was just one night.

− The keys didn't work in the outside door to get in at the back of the motel. The bathroom was not clean. The tub was not in good shape. For a king bed, there were not enough pillows. The knobs were broken off of the air conditioner. The lights were on a timer in the bathroom and the light above the bathroom sink didn't work.
