Dark, drab and dingy!
4.0We had flown into Casablanca after a group tour to Egypt. The Movenpick Hotel had been booked by our New Zealand travel agency. We were so disappointed in the standard of this accommodation. The rooms were dark and small and shabby and the cleanliness of the carpets and general maintenance a disgrace. Along the corridors it looked as though half hearted attempts had been made to patch the walls up. It is generally very run down and in my opinion Accor needs to spend money on it to bring it up to standard. There is no way that this is a 5 star hotel. It would be lucky to get 3 stars. As a comparison, we are currently experiencing the hospitality at the Grand Plaza in Marrakesh which is truly a 5 star hotel. We are due to return to Casablanca for a further two nights but be assured we won’t be staying at the Movenpick again!
Outstanding Service and Excellent Location
10.0I had an excellent stay at Movenpick Hotel. The service was outstanding from start to finish. A special thank you to Fatima Ezra, who was incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help. Her warm welcome and attentive support made my stay especially enjoyable. I would also like to thank Saida from housekeeping, who was very attentive and kept my room spotless and comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location. The area is very walkable and conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and nearby attractions, which made exploring the city easy and enjoyable. Thank you to the entire staff for your exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again.
Nice hotel
10.0Really nice hotel in the heart of Casablanca. The check in was really smooth and the staff were really friendly. The room was nice and spacious and very clean. Comfy big bed and good amenities. The rooftop pool was nice to chill during the day. Mehdi the waiter was really friendly and attentive. Salma served me in the evening and was also nice to talk with. The only disappointment was the fitness centre which was old and had very few weights. But all in all it is a nice clean hotel with a good location and I would stay again thank you.
Excellent service
10.0Big thanks to the duty manager for her hospitality and engagement hope to come again soon
Excellent 2 night stay
10.0We stopped off in Casablanca for a few days of holidays before resuming our journey to Sierra Leone. We chose to stay at the Movenpick hotel because of its excellent location right next to the T1 tram stop. I am an Accor Limitless group member, and we have had good experiences staying with this hotel group in the past. We had booked a romantic package stay in an Executive room, which included chocolates on arrival and, more importantly, a late checkout. Upon arrival, we were informed we had been upgraded to a suite, which was a very pleasant surprise indeed. The suite had a large jacuzzi bath and an extra lounge room. Lots of space and a great view from the 12th floor. There is a rooftop restaurant, bar, swimming pool and spa available at this hotel. The breakfast had lots of hot or cold choices, an egg station, along with the usual cereals, fruit, and pastries. Something for everyone to enjoy. The staff were very courteous and helpful, especially as this was Ramadan and they fast all day. They also took the time to advise us of any Ramadan customs that might affect our stay in Casablanca. Our onward flight did not depart until midnight. I explained our situation and requested an even later checkout than the 2pm checkout included in our package. This was very generously granted by the hotel management and extended free of charge until 6pm. This was really appreciated and meant we were well rested for our onward overnight flight.
