4.0This is a basic, serviceable hotel right off the interstate and very conveniently located within Glenwood Springs. I was surprised by a new $10 fee to park in a very un-urban location. If this new fee was on the website, I certainly missed it. (The TripAdvisor site has it listed with free parking.) There is no reason for them to charge for parking in this location - it feels like a money grab. The breakfast was ok but there was no fresh fruit (although there was an empty bowl labeled "fruit") and the clerk just shrugged when I asked about it.

Don't trust what they say.
2.0After a long trip with my family, I arrived to the hotel very late that day. There was no one at the desk, despite a sign that stated that the worker was on a short break. We wait for over an hour with sleepy kids in the car. No one showed up. Computer seemed unlocked. We called corporate to help us out. They couldn't get a hold of anyone, and ultimately couldn't' help us. Finally, they decided that we could go to another hotel to compensate for this experience and confirmed in both writing and verbally that they would cover the cost for the other hotel. It's been over 2 months and they still haven't followed through with that promise. The lack of integrity on their part is truly a disappointment and turn off for a hotel company. I have reached out to the IHG organizational team and I am now still waiting on a response....I was told by another person in the hotel industry not to expect a response and that their customer service in that regards is subpar. I hope they're wrong.
