A Wonderful Stay at Meg Hotel – Excellent Location and Warm Hospitality!
10.0I truly enjoyed my stay at Meg Hotel! The location is exceptionally convenient. Step out of the hotel, and to your right is Gülhane Park, while to your left is the bustling Sirkeci area. Sirkeci Marmaray station connects you to the Asian side of Istanbul, while the Sirkeci tram station makes exploring the European side incredibly easy. The area surrounding the hotel is a shopping and food paradise! From delicious snacks and desserts to everyday essentials, everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. You certainly won't be lacking anything! If you're up for some exercise and enjoy exploring on foot, you can easily walk to Eminönü, Karaköy, Sultanahmet Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, and even Topkapı Palace. There is always complimentary hot turkish tea and cookies! The room was spacious and comfortable. One of my favourite features was the balcony, which offered spectacular views of the Karaköy skyline and the Bosphorus. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, whether during the day or at night. Another thoughtful touch was the ability to connect Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to the television. It's a wonderful bonus if you prefer to have an early night and unwind after spending the whole day exploring Istanbul. What truly made Meg Hotel special, however, was its staff. Even before my arrival, the team was extremely responsive to my email enquiries. They answered my questions promptly and helpfully, which gave me a very positive impression of the hotel before I had even checked in. That wonderful hospitality continued throughout my stay. The staff always greeted me warmly whenever I entered or left the hotel. Everyone was genuinely approachable and helpful. It's these little gestures that made the hotel feel homely and welcoming. For me, a wonderful hotel experience isn't just about the location or the room. It's also about the people who make you feel comfortable and welcome.
− The breakfast was a decent Turkish spread, offering a satisfying start to the day before heading out to explore. While I would have appreciated a little more variety or some changes to the menu from day to day, it was still enjoyable and provided a good meal to fuel the day's adventures.
