This hotel is my mothers preferred hotel as the location in close to family and Cracker Barrel. Beds are comfortable and she feels safest knowing the surroundings and the same hotel.

− I wish she had a walk in shower, to old for a tub.I requested yet she did not receive.

Terrible Experience

There was not much to like except the location which was good for the objective of this trip. Also, there was one kind employee in the café.

− My family and I booked two rooms at this establishment, and our stay was in June. The first night, the AC unit in our room made a very loud clicking sound every time it turned on and continued to click, almost sounding as if it was sparking or an electrical incident was occurring constantly; this AC unit would not blow cool air whatsoever. Needless to say, none of us slept well at all due to the heat and worry that something was going to catch on fire at any point, given the sparking sound. The next morning, we spoke to someone at the desk who informed us "she would get maintenance on it right away." When we returned to the hotel that evening, I stopped by the desk again for an update, in which we were asked, were you offered a solution? I retold her what we were told earlier in the day, to which she replied, maintenance is not even here on the weekend. Alas, this issue would not be resolved until after we checked out. It seems unreasonable there is not maintenance on the weekend, or at least someone on call, especially in situations like this where we were worried for our safety. The attendant was nice enough to try to find us another room, but the hotel was fully booked, so this was not an option. We were given a voucher for free breakfast and a mention of a discount for this stay.  That evening, the clicking sound continued, nobody slept well again, and honestly we were still worried there was a potential hazard about to occur with the AC unit. Sunday morning, we encountered the only bright spot in our stay, a man named Terry who worked in the cafe. There were multiple items we attempted to get with our free breakfast voucher, to be told they were not available. Although he did not have everything we tried to order, he still gave us options and did it with a smile on his face. That same day, we attended the Dayton Air Show where it unfortunately poured rain, so we came back drenched and simply wanted a warm shower.

Clean and comfortable but overpriced for a 1 night stay when we didn’t even use the shower.
