10.0First of all, the peace of the resort, the gardens, the trees, the birdsong, everything was wonderful, I loved it, words can't describe it. The breakfast was good, but the lunch and dinner options were marvelous, all the dishes were wonderfully delicious.

7.0We recently stayed at Sugar Cane Hotel and Spa in Barbados. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, the view over the garden/jungle is stunning, and seeing monkeys from your balcony is truly special.
− Unfortunately, the service experience was very inconsistent. Staff were either very friendly or extremely unfriendly, there was no middle ground. The woman at reception, in particular, was shockingly unhelpful and unfriendly. We have honestly never experienced anything like it. Rooms and towels are not cleaned or refreshed daily, and when we asked for clean towels, we were told we would have to pay extra, which is quite surprising. A very concerning issue occurred when our toilet overflowed during the night, leaving the bathroom floor completely flooded. There was no one available to assist, neither during the night nor early in the morning. While security is present on-site, they are unable or not allowed to help. This raises serious concerns about guest safety, as in case of an emergency, it seems there is no one available to provide immediate assistance.
The staff were extremely pleasant and proactive, especially Norene, who was amazing from arrival.

− The bathroom could have been cleaner and more pleasant to the smell upon checking in. They should have better linens available to capture the excess water which easily escapes the shower stalls during showers.
