Disappointing
6.0The description of this hotel very much overstates its qualities in our view. Underneath a little bit of gloss, it is a fairly basic, utilitarian hotel in a run down area of Athens. Staff however were generally very helpful and welcoming. However the public and reception areas are small and not impressive. Our room was adequate and reasonably sized but the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. By contrast the bathroom had clearly had a welcome facelift. The restaurant lacked any ambience although the food was adequate but no more than that. And the area around Omonia Square was very run down and not a place to venture out at night on foot, unless you are considerably younger and braver than we are. So an adequate hotel but a little disappointing and it did not meet our expectations.
A great hotel
10.0Most reviews I'd read prior to our visit were accurate and fair. Lovely hotel! Very well situated for visiting all the sights. We thought we might use the metro but we didn't at all! We walked everywhere and got an uber a couple of times (acropolis and one night into Plaka). All hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We were greeted straight away and helped with our case. I had emailed the hotel a few weeks prior to say it was my daughter's 21st birthday. No reply but we had pur room upgraded when there so obviously acknowledged it. A lovely surprise! The whole hotel is really clean, modern. Lifts work well- use room card key in slot to work the lift- all explained to you. Our room was immaculately clean. Spacious with the front wall a full window. We could just see the side of the fountain! Bathroom modern. Hairdryer fine. A couple of toiletries but I'd bring own. Mini fridge with 2 bottles of water in which we used (no charge). Tap water is apparently drinkable though. Breakfast was a goid selection of the usual - continental plus cereal, pastries, fruit, meats and cheese etc. Plenty of hot and cold drinks. Clean and tidy. We found it quiet early on (6.30- 8) but on our last day we went down at 9am and it was packed! It became even more busy as time went by so obviously people preferred a later breakfast! We were too busy being early as trips booked and lots to do! The only issue which i recalled then on other reviews was that the hot food wasn't hot at all. Luke warm at best. A shame as otherwise lovely! Again, staff good there. Room service was excellent- we ordered downstairs in bar by reception after a long day out. Again, friendly and helpful service. Food was lovely and a good size. Good value. 3 euro 'tray' charge- perfectly fine we thought! The only negative really was the noise outside! However, the hotel cannot do anything about this (new windows...they seem pretty old and thin as anything- you could hear the outside like they were paper!) We didn't sleep at all the first night (a Thursday and weirdly we think the most noisy) Sirens blaring, horns beeping almost continuously at each other, general traffic etc) We had to put the AC back on to try to drown it out but it only really added to it. However, we just happened to ask at reception if they had ear plugs (pharmacy closed) and the lovely girl behind reception duly dug us out 2 sets 😀...they really helped lessen the noise and we slept better after that. Beds were comfortable. Clean white sheets. Tea and coffee...ask for extra milk as it's not enough. Plenty of sockets, full length mirror. Comfortable and well laid out clean room. The shower needs a degree to work out 😅 and not get hit by the weird jets that face you and squirt horizontally. All in all, a great base for Athens.
Good quality. Try the sauted sea bras or the salmon
8.0We had a great meal on the outside front terrace. I had the sauted sea bras with veggies and it truly was a treat in a city full of meat and pastries. My wife had the salmon with vegetables, and that was a fresh, real tasty treat. The big plus was the quick serving time, without loss of quality.
Great hotel...Great staff
10.0A nice hotel in a good location just a ten minute walk from the city center. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and are cleaned regularly. The breakfast at the hotel is very varied and plentiful, so everyone can find something for themselves. The hotel staff is very kind and extremely hospitable and always at your service, and you are even greeted with a nice welcome message with two nice cookies as a sign of attention, which is commendable.
Excellent Hotel
10.0We spent two nights in this hotel and I cannot rate it highly enough. The reason is that the staff were amazing, especially at Reception. We arrived from a cruise at 8 am, hoping that there would be somewhere to leave our luggage until Check In at 3pm. Instead, we were offered a room straight away and told we could also have breakfast, for which of course we would pay. The food in the restaurant was good. The location was also good - 50m from the Hop on hop off bus stops

6.0Room was clean but dated. The bed was two twin beds put together but kept sliding apart as soon as you sit on it. The sheets were not fitted and kept coming off as soon as you move or turn your body, and worse part, the bed was not comfortable at all. Towels were as old as the Parthenon. Shower head is vey low so cant use for shower, 4 shower jets mounted on the wall but shoots water everywhere and makes floor wet. Water did not drain well, flooded onto bathroom floor, they didn't fix it until the next morning. Breakfast was ok, coffee was good. Staff were friendly and helpful . Location is convenient to walk to city and sights, 30 minute walk to entrance to Acropolis and museums. 45 minutes to the international airport, we booked taxi via the hotel, 46 Euros. Ask hotel for restaurant recommendations as it is hit and miss in that area. Outside area surrounding the hotel is very dirty, lots of graffiti and the smell of urine was evident. Tour of Acropolis, museums were worth it,
