9.0Beautiful location. Great casual dining when the restaurant is open. Spacious studio room included refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, coffee maker, toaster, 2 wine glasses, 2 coffee cups, and a very nice patio. The restaurant features barbecue and other lodge style fare, with a well stocked bar.
− On days when the restaurant is closed, there are no nearby dining options. 10:00 AM checkout time seems a bit early for many travelers.

Since Kohl’s Ranch Lodge is shaded by towering treetops of the world’s largest Ponderosa Pine Forest, you may experience limited cell reception and Wi-Fi connectivity when visiting. However, complimentary domestic phone service is available in each unit.
Please note that from January 16, 2026, to February 28, 2026, restaurant Zane Gray is open from Friday to Sunday and closed from Monday to Thursday.
